1. The precision of civilian GPS tracker is within 10 meters.


The GPS we are using now belongs to civilian-level GPS. We will not discuss the military level for the time being. For GPS alone, the positioning accuracy is generally about 10 meters when the signal is good (under ideal conditions such as open ground and sunny days). If it is LBS (base station) positioning, the positioning accuracy is generally between 100 meters and 1000 meters.


GPS positioning accuracy must be achieved through a certain algorithm. It has high requirements on the environment at that time. If there are high-rise buildings, interference signal sources, and cloudy weather, the positioning accuracy error will definitely be relatively large. The high precision mentioned in the market can only be achieved under ideal conditions. Even if it is the same machine and the same place, it is normal to have different positioning accuracy in different time periods.

2. Not all batteries can be used as long standby GPS trackers.


For ultra-long standby GPS locators, the capacity and characteristics of the battery determine the length of standby time.


We all know that the standby time is directly proportional to the battery capacity. The larger the capacity, the stronger the battery life. Therefore, the battery capacity can be roughly used as a judgment method.


Then not all large-capacity batteries are suitable for such positioning. There are many types of battery, and self-discharge will also occur during normal use, which means that the batteries will consume power by themselves. If the battery itself has a high self-discharge, even the largest capacity cannot support the concept of ultra-long standby.


Obviously, a kind of battery that cannot be used for long standby is a polymer battery pack battery. Under normal circumstances, this type of battery has a high self-discharge. Imagine your own cell phone battery. See if there is still electricity after turning it on for a month and how long it will last.


3. WIFI positioning is not necessarily the most accurate.


Many people think that triple positioning and quadruple positioning are very powerful, especially WIFI positioning, which are all very high-tech, and can be positioned very accurately even indoors. Actually this is just a gimmick. If you understand the principle of WIFI positioning, you may not expect so much from WIFI positioning.


In short, WIFI positioning is just to use the WIFI signal source to determine the signal's IP address and then resolve it to your location. This is the address registered with the operator when you pull the network cable. But now almost every family has WIFI, no one knows which of these signals will be acquired, so to what accuracy will the resolved position be known.

4. The smaller GPS tracker is, the higher technical content is, but it doesn't mean the smaller it is, the better it is.


Without reducing component configuration, the smaller GPS tracker is, the higher technical content is. So many circuits and components are in a limited area which is testing your comprehensive control ability and overall planning ability. But it doesn't mean the smaller it is, the better it is.


The main part of the locator is the GPS module and the GSM antenna, and the space occupied by these two is relatively large. If their space is ignored, the impact on the signal is quite large. There is no fixed GSM antenna, and even a small wire is used instead. Such a signal is not only very poor, but also extremely unstable.


5. Small size wireless locator is difficult for 5 years standby.


We said above that the wireless locator is very dependent on the battery, especially the battery capacity. If the volume is too small, the battery capacity is not too large. In the case of insufficient battery capacity, if the positioner can stand by for 5 years, this probability is very small. For 5 years of standby, the battery capacity must be at least 10,000 mAh.
